WithClientOnStand2Ligna 2015 in Hannover was an excellent opportunity for Stenner to show what was new in their portfolio of resaws. The MHS horizontal range has been core business to the company for more than twenty five years with more than 900 units sold worldwide.
The latest design for the MHS10 was on show with new features that included a non-tilting overhead feedworks and a setting system that controlled the height and angles of the saws at the touch of a single button. Also featured was the relatively new spray lubrication system for the bandsaws and pulleys.
The MHS10’s have been sold to UK company Thomson Sawmills and both Brian and Jamie Thomson visited the stand to give their machines the “once over”. The contract covers a total of nine Stenner saw units and is part of a major investment at the Norwich site.
Also on display was the latest in the range of single stand alone 36” resaws. The ST100R is part of a family of machines that stretches back over 50 years. Obviously many things have changed since the first machine was produced including the addition of DC braking of the main motor, controls via a PC, pneumatic saw straining, pressure sawguides and perhaps most importantly the design upgrade such that the machine sits on a flat floor with no foundation pit for the bottom pulley.
Several orders were secured on the stand and, with over 100 recorded enquiries the Stenner team are hopeful of signing off further business in the next two to three weeks.
