Woodworking Machinery Exhibitions have struggled to justify their existence in the last few years but Stenner are pleased to report that the recent Ligna Exhibition in Hannover was very much “alive and kicking”.
“The number of enquiries was up significantly on previous years but not only are the numbers improved but the quality of the enquiry was very, very good” says Stenner Sales Director Fred Harding. Enquiries were generated worldwide and Stenner staff will be working hard to respond to each individual company.
“I think the stand was the best we have ever done with the machines and graphics perfectly reflecting the current Stenner product mix” commented Stenner Managing Director Syd Mather.
A 3 head MHS9 horizontal resaw and ST100R single stand-alone resaw with fence setting system, Spray Lube System and Variable Speed Pulley Rotation were on display with posters showing the Single and Twin Centre Cutting Resaws and a mural showing a ten head MHS10 with some of the Stenner personnel proudly standing in front of it. Syd adds “Whilst we always take the long term view on shows it is a bonus to secure an order. On Tuesday afternoon Fred secured a contract to supply two VHET120 Twin resaws to an existing client in Estonia. This customer has run his current machine for 15 years on a three shift pattern and it is a great compliment to have him place his faith in us for his additional resaws”
Stenner Partners Paul GmbH (Cross cut and edgers) and Primultini (Bandmills) also advised that the show had given them a very positive result.
